Robb Chapman
The International Fire Relief Mission is pleased to welcome Robb Chapman to its advisory board.
Mr. Chapman is a wildland fire instructor and fire management consultant with Risky Business Incident Management, LLC. He started in the volunteer fire service in 2001. He has previously worked for the Alaska Division of Forestry and U.S. Forest Service on engine, hotshot and helitack crews. He maintains various ICS qualifications including type IV incident commander, helicopter manager and military crew advisor. He has received several awards for his work with the Forest Service, including facilitating an agreement between the Cibola National Forest and AmeriCorps NCCC to provide a fire crew to the forest, as well as from the California Army National Guard for training troops in wildland fire suppression.
Mr. Chapman graduated from the University of New Mexico with an undergraduate degree in environmental policy, and is working toward and executive master of natural resources degree at Virginia Tech. His primary interest lies in fire management challenges within developing countries. His hobbies include photography and woodworking; he lives in Johnson City, Tenn. with his wife Andrea.
