    Title:  Key Fundraiser

    Description:

    The IFRM is one of the Fastest Growing Firefighter Charity companies; we have a fantastic opportunity for a fundraiser passionate about Firefighter humanity projects to join our team. 

    The International Fire Relief Mission exists to provide long-term and life saving assistance for active duty firefighters in countries and communities lacking modern fire/rescue equipment and technology. Our objectives are accomplished by recycling fire equipment replaced by the AFG or FEMA grants. An ongoing impact to firefighters is improved technology and equipment with a (5-10 year) sustainable service life.

    This opportunity is perfect for interns who are wishing to gain extensive hands-on-experience or for Firefighters that are looking to compliment an exciting job field.

    Specific Responsibilities (essential job functions):

    ·         Public Relations. Promote the image and purpose of the IFRM. PR will be internal as well as external.

    ·         Representation. Be the single point of contact and coordination with foundation trustees, foundation committees, volunteers, sponsors, staff and other partners.

    ·         Fundraising. Organize and manage special events such as golf outings, silent auctions, raffles. Arrange for sponsorships. Research grants. Seek various levels of donors through programs such as annual giving or major gifts solicitation.

    ·         Event Management. Create, plan, organize, manage and direct activities of others to ensure successful events.

    ·         Financial reporting. Prepare and manage expenses to budget. Prepare reports for the board of trustees.

    ·         Compliance. Maintain records necessary for compliance with laws governing our non-profit organization.

    ·         Work well in a self-directed basis within the company.

    ·         Travel occasionally and work extended hours when necessary.

     

    Requirements:

    ·         Have a passion for the purpose. Some experience in fundraising, event management or related activities. Experience working within non-profit organizations (i.e., 501(c) (3)). Researching grants / grant writing a plus.

    ·         Qualified candidates will have excellent skills in organization and in verbal and written communication. Able to build donors’ strong and everlasting relationships with the foundation. Able to coordinate the activities of multiple people. Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
