· Welcome to Geocaching Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment. Members of the International Fire Relief Mission (IFRM) have begun to place geocaches around the world. The first was placed in Manchester, England in Oct-2008 while attending a World Relief Conference. Others are being placed now as firefighters become involved. These caches focus on the Firefighter community, and so typically placed at Fire Stations around the world. Besides Geocaches we also have travel bugs whose goal is to visit as many Fire Stations around the world as possible. Please contact the IFRM for more information.. · Find a Geocache and Log Your Experience Once you have found a geocache, sign the logbook and return the geocache to its original location.
