The IFRM is one of the Fastest Growing
Firefighter Charity companies; we have a fantastic opportunity for
photographers passionate about the Fire/EMS industry to join our team.
The International Fire
Relief Mission exists to provide long-term and life saving assistance for active
duty firefighters in countries and communities lacking current fire/rescue
equipment or technology. Our objectives are accomplished by recycling fire
equipment replaced by the AFG or FEMA grants. An
ongoing impact to firefighters is improved safety through education. Donated equipment
with a (5-10 year) sustainable service life.
As a photographer for the IFRM, you will be
responsible for photographing all TEAM mission activities. Spring, fall and winter
are our busy times. Working directly with Fire magazines will be an integral
part of our photographer team Goals.
This opportunity is perfect for photographers who are wishing to gain extensive
hands-on-experience or for freelance Firefighter photographers that are looking
to compliment an existing portfolio of clients.
To
be considered for the position you should:
be available to travel for extended periods of time (up to 30 days) globally
are prepared to work an average of 10 hours a day
own a 35mm equivalent camera with a range of lens.
greater than 12.0 Mega Pixels that shoots RAW images
videos in HD is also preferred
own a cell phone. Suggested with an international plan
have a valid passport with no travel
restrictions
have a valid credit card with a
minimum of 2K available to cover project expenses
sign a non-compete agreement
have a pleasant, outgoing personality
be an effective communicator
have a passion for Fire/EMS photography
be able to make a commitment to the position for a minimum of 12 months
have liability insurance
