The International Fire Relief Mission has the same logistical needs as does any for-profit business. And it collaborates with technical schools, colleges and universities to meet those needs. Like most internships, these students donate their time, knowledge and skills in exchange for the experience that comes from applying what they know to a real-world environment.
IFRM is looking for student internship from scholastic disciplines including computer science, information technology, marketing and communications, web design and maintenance, search-engine optimization (SEO), international studies, journalism, video, photography, and truck driving. IFRM also is seeking fire science and EMS students to collect donated gear, work in various warehouse locations and accompany the IFRM humanitarian-aid team abroad.
IFRM is looking to create partnerships with vocational schools, colleges and universities in every state. Click on your state below to see what’s happening near you. If nothing is listed, please contact IFRM to learn how to create a new volunteer relationship at your school or one nearby.
