Mid year report: Some facts
about the IFRM:
In the first six months of 2010 the IFRM’s
website was viewed by over #792-cities
from #52-States reporting in. These visits
are first by Firefighters and Departments looking to make donation. This was
followed closely by key Sponsors and interested Supporters. And finally from
people within the US, asking for assistance or offering to assist in certain
locations around the world. The top Ten
States in order of ranking: Minnesota, New York, Florida,
Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, California, and Nebraska followed closely by: District of
Columbia, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, Iowa, Kansas, South Dakota, New
Hampshire, Tennessee and Michigan. These states also follow
the equipment donations we have received….
The
IFRM has donation requests from #17-
Sub Continent
Regions. They are in order by most activity: South America, Central America, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, Northern
Europe, Caribbean, Southern Europe, Western Asia, South-Eastern Asia, Australia
and New Zealand, Eastern Asia, Southern Asia, Western Africa, Melanesia, North
and South Africa. The Top countries are: Chile, Honduras, Dominican
Republic, Romania, Mexico, Ukraine, Germany, Paraguay, Georgia, Czech Republic,
and Argentina.
By the end of 2010
we will have provide assistance to Moldova, Ukraine, Papua New Guinea, Bolivia,
Honduras, Chile, Georgia and the Dominican Republic. We have pending service to Romania. We have a
need of a shipping donation to that country. We are always looking fill the
greatest need based upon the information that is provided.
2010 was the first
year that the IFRM participated in donations following an Earthquake. And
we are proud to announce that we had a great deal of support on this Earthquake Relief effort for Chile: key sponsors: Rosenbauer,
GearGrid, TFT Task Force Tips, New
supporters for this mission include Globe Firefighters Suits, PRO POLY, All
Safe. An emergency collection
vehicle has been donated by U-Haul.
We are already planning well into 2011,
2012. We are always looking for Fire/EMS staff to assist on missions. Thank you
to everyone for the support and assistance together we are making a difference.
